In Sankrit ‘namas’ means; ‘bow, obeisance, reverential salutation’. It comes from the root ‘nam’, which carries meaning of bending, bowing, and becoming silent. ‘Te’ means ‘to you’. Thus “namaste” means ‘I bow to you’.

I really like to practice yoga at Han Yoga studio. I like it because the studio is super clean, and all the instructors here are very knowledgeable and supportive. The owner of the studio, Jonathan Han, is undoubtedly one of the best yoga masters in the Bay Area. He has mastered all the traditional forms of yoga, and with his martial arts, qi gong, and tai-chi background, he has uniquely developed a therapeutic form of yoga, which he uses to teach and heal. His classes are fun, innovative, and one of a kind. You won't find two of his classes ...
Simply put, the best yoga instruction I've ever received, and the most fun, informative classes I've ever taken. The main instructor and owner, Jonathan Han, is a master at teaching both beginners and advanced yogis. If you're new to yoga, take the "Therapeutic yoga" class. It moves at a pace where you can easily follow along, accompanied by very detailed instruction on anatomy and modification for your level. Highly recommend!
I've been going to Han Yoga for a few years now, and have experienced all the instructors at some time or another. I am a regular at Briant's Sunday morning class and have seen her teaching mature over the years. She teaches several classes after her regular work schedule and on weekends. Her practice is humble, she readily admits how long it has taken her to master a particular pose and does not shy away from teaching poses she has yet to master!...
This is a good place for advanced yogis and beginners too. Although there are people at many different levels in the basic yoga class, it doesn't seem like Jonathan is catering to only one level or one person. He gives everyone personal attention and assists everyone with doing the poses to the best of their abilities...
I love the teaching style of all the instructors, namely Jonathan Han, Jennifer Tsai, Bindu Columan, Briant Sarris & Yawen Yang. Han Yoga has 21 classes a week that is almost average 3 classes a day during 7 days a week. You can choose the level based on your capability and attend any session...
